My stay at Hivernage Hotel & Spa was mixed. The hotel itself is well-kept and the location is excellent—just a 20-minute walk to the Medina. However, the service left much to be desired, especially during breakfast, which was very slow. While I appreciated the spacious rooms and delicious breakfast, the air conditioning was inadequate, leaving me uncomfortably warm during my stay. 🌞
Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, though lacking a balcony, which was a bit disappointing. The king-sized bed was comfortable, but I noticed some areas in the room were slightly tired, leading to a less luxurious feel. 🛌
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly and helpful, I found them a bit detached at times, particularly during busy periods like breakfast service when it was challenging to get attention. They were generally at my service but lacked the efficiency I expected from a high-end hotel.
Location
9.0
The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood, away from the chaos of the Medina. It's very central, making it easy to explore the main areas and attractions. This was definitely one of the highlights of my stay.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast had a great selection and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was good, particularly the lamb tagine. However, I felt the music in the dining area was a bit too loud for my liking, making it hard to enjoy the meal fully.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent; I enjoyed the spa services, but the absence of proper air conditioning was a letdown. The pool area was lovely, albeit disrupted by loud music at times.

5.0/10
I had a mixed experience at Hivernage Hotel & Spa. The staff, especially Mina, were genuinely welcoming and attentive, which made me feel valued. However, noise levels from nearby clubs and the housekeeping staff disrupted my rest. While the location is perfect, close to both the old and new town, I found the bathroom design lacking in space. Overall, there were some good moments, but there were significant issues that kept me from fully enjoying my stay.
Rooms
7.0
The Superior Double Room was modern and clean but suffered from noise issues and a cramped bathroom, which made it less comfortable than I hoped.
Service
8.0
The service from the staff was commendable, particularly how Mina ensured my comfort; however, there were lapses in attention during peak times in the restaurant.
Location
9.0
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore Marrakech, yet it still offers a quiet retreat from the bustling streets nearby.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight with a fantastic buffet and friendly staff, although the coffee could have been better.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were satisfactory, with a beautiful lounge and a decent pool area, but the noise from the rooftop was frustrating at night.

The Hivernage Hotel & Spa has a prime location with easy access to the Medina and local attractions, but it definitely falls short of being a true 5-star experience. While my room was decently decorated and comfortable, I found several aspects that left much to be desired, particularly the mixed service quality and some maintenance issues. Overall, I enjoyed my time in Marrakesh but felt deceived regarding the hotel’s star rating.
Rooms
6.0
My room was comfortable and well-decorated, but it felt a bit small and had some maintenance issues like a blocked sink. There was also a distinct lack of soundproofing which made it difficult to ignore noise from adjacent rooms.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, the service was inconsistent. There were times I felt ignored, and I had issues with the reception upon checkout which was frustrating. It's clear the hotel needs to improve staff training to meet guest expectations.
Location
9.0
The location is a major plus, as it’s central and just a short walk to Jemma el Fna and other attractions. Accessibility was never a concern, making it easy to navigate Marrakesh.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a decent spread with a friendly cook ready to make custom orders, but I expected more variety for a hotel of this caliber. The restaurant vibe was a bit off with music that didn’t match the dining ambience.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities included essentials like room service and a spa, but I didn’t use them. The pool seemed small and cold during my visit, and the overall amenities did not impress considering the hotel's rating.

My stay at Hivernage Hotel & Spa was quite mixed. The location is fantastic, right near the city center, which made exploring easy. However, I faced significant noise issues at night, especially from the rooftop bar nearby. The staff were friendly and the breakfast offered a great variety, but my overall experience was tainted by the disturbances.
Rooms

I had a Superior Twin Room which was clean and spacious. though it did suffer from a noise issue. The balcony was rather minuscule, making it more decorative than functional.
Service
7.0
The hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful. but the service at the rooftop bar was quite slow and I often had to approach the bar myself for assistance.
Location

Located in a very central area, I loved that I could easily access both the new and old town within a short walk or quick taxi ride. it truly is a great spot for sightseeing.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was varied and enjoyable with freshly made pancakes. although the coffee could use some improvement as it didn’t have the best taste.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a lovely pool area and a decent gym which I utilized. but the rooftop bar turned into a noisy party scene later at night, which was quite disruptive.

My stay had some highs and lows. The location was definitely a win, being close to the Medina and other attractions, plus getting help with excursions was smooth thanks to the concierge. But the room situation was disappointing, with a few issues that stuck out, like a lack of heating and some unhelpful staff moments. Overall, I'd rate it as average, leaning towards better days if they're keen on maintaining standards.
Rooms

I was initially put in a room with heating issues and some basic amenities missing. But I got moved to a cooler room upon request, which was nice. The view of the Atlas Mountains was the highlight.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and eager to help, there were times when getting assistance felt like a struggle. I had moments where services like room cleaning fell short, which was a letdown.
Location

This hotel is in a prime spot, really close to the main areas which made exploring the city convenient. I loved that I could get to Jemaa el-Fna in under 20 minutes on foot.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast here was average, which didn't quite live up to the expectations of a place that claims five stars. But the homemade desserts were a nice touch!
Facilities
7.0
The gym facilities were decent and I appreciated the availability of an airport shuttle. However, I felt there could be better options for room comfort like a kettle or improved air conditioning.
